Designing Comfort and Sustainability Through Thoughtful Bowls
My bowl designs embody the intersection of emotional connection, functional innovation, and sustainability. Each piece tells a story of intentionality—whether through the embrace of its form or the reinvention of materials.

Study on form giving, material studies, and small series production.
The intimate bowls were born from a simple yet profound concept: the warm, hugging feeling created by the curve of the bowl meeting the hand. Designed for ease of use, the bowls are crafted to be comfortably held with one hand, enabling the user to bring the bowl closer while enjoying warm soup or a meal. This feature not only enhances the tactile and emotional experience but also offers a practical solution for eating when seated away from the comfort of a table. The island in the center also allowss for more even warming of the soup in the microwave. By blending form and function, the intimate bowls make everyday moments of nourishment feel more connected and comforting.

Food waste

The waste bowl represents a leap into the realm of sustainability and material innovation. Created from food waste, the bowls are an exploration into waste valorization—transforming discarded organic matter into a shelf-stable, functional material. This project addresses the growing need for sustainable practices in design, showcasing how materials once deemed useless can be reimagined into meaningful objects. The waste bowl is not just a product; it’s a conversation starter about how we approach resources and rethink waste in industrial design as well as in everyday life.
